    Marion Johnson Day of Service

    The Washington, DC Alumni Chapter proclaimed in 2018, the Marion Johnson Day of Service as a way to honor the life and legacy of this beloved chapter member. Marion was passionate about helping others, and what better way to channel her passion through a GREAT day of service. This annual event is where the chapter selects a day to participate together with their families in a service project serving those in need in the Washington, DC metro area.

    Annual Hybrid 5k Run/Walk - HBCUs Run the District

    The Wilberforce DC Alumni Chapter has proudly participated in the Washington, DC Metro HBCU Alumni Alliance's Annual 5K Run/Walk since its inception. This event provides vital monetary donations to support HBCU colleges, and the chapter is honored to contribute to its ongoing success.

    The Washington, DC Metro HBCU Alumni Alliance, Inc. (DCHBCUAA) is a non-profit community-based organization that consists of alumni chapters of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. The mission of the DC Metro HBCU Alumni Alliance is to serve as an advocate for HBCU Alumni Associations by supporting the mission of HBCUs through scholarship fundraising, alumni reclamation, and student recruitment in addition to aligning with the National HBCU Alumni Alliance by supporting and participating in programs that promote higher education, encourage healthy living and fighting hunger.
